Vilius Dringelis is a Lithuanian designer and artist known for his innovative and boundary-pushing approach to design. Drawing on his passion for combining digital and modern 3D technologies with diverse materials and unconventional tools, he transforms everyday urban impressions into unique design elements. Inspired by the textures and shapes found in foil imprints on city streets, the artist reinterprets familiar forms in his works, blending the past and the present and turning ordinary images into subtle creations based on the stories of the environment.
His works have been exhibited in numerous curated group exhibitions, fairs, and showrooms, including Collectible in Brussels, Milan Design Week, London Design Festival, Vienna Design Week, Stockholm Design Week, Paris Design Week, and Budapest Design Week, among others. The designer’s extraordinary works often attract attention — for example, he was included in the Future50 list of the contemporary design platform Adorno and was recognised by the magazine Valstybė as one of the people who have had a positive impact on Lithuania’s economy, society, and culture. After completing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Dringelis has continued to contribute to the academic community by reviewing students’ final projects and serving as a member of the Design Department’s master’s study committee. The artist is also an active member of various design associations, and the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture has granted him the status of a professional artist.
Dringelis’ studio is located in the premises of a former ceramics school, where he creates his branded thematic products, unique objects for private collections and various collaborative projects related to the theme of transformation.
